DR ANDREW MALCOLM

Andy has had a 6-year tenure as chair NZ TEA Committee. He navigated the New Zealand training scheme with competence during this time. Andy undertook a Masters in Education to support this role. Andy has promoted an equity solution for improved Maori trainee access to the urological training program, voted on and agreed to by New Zealand Urologists. For this complex pro-bono role Andy deserves to be recognised as a Urologist of exceptional contribution to New Zealand Urology.


SHA HARBER

Sha is currently chair of the NZ Urology Nurses Society, providing continuity in leadership via the COVID era. Sha has undertaken a masters nursing qualification plus become independent at nurse flexible cystoscopy. Sha has developed and promoted nursing roles that have improved patient care, with an Active Surveillance model of care scaled up to 3 DHB's getting 100% compliance. Sha has been personally involved in a National Urology Triage project with provision of nurse education to allow standardised triage of all patients referred to urology care, with a goal of equity of access to care. This and other initiatives have significantly saved urologist time, improved patient care and could be scaled nationally.

JUDE CLARKE

Jude Clarke is National manager of the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry (PCOR), employed by Centre of Health Outcomes NZ (CHOMNZ). She began employment in 2015 with no background in Urology or prostate cancer knowledge. Jude has led this project to its current state, with NZ, the only country in the world that 100% public hospital patients have information collected on diagnostic, treatment and outcomes data, Jude has overseen to development of a team of remote data collectors, performing the best in Australasia. Jude has assisted and led the COMNZ Board, PCOR NZ steering committee over the past 5 years to facilitate quality improvement reports to all NZ Urologists and Radiation Oncologists, plus other initiatives. Jude has collaborated with Movember to develop quality business modelsto assist running this project. Jude is passionate about this project and made it a remarkable success story, bearing fruits for the whole NZ urological community.
