Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP)

This 2-hour Holep Wet Lab, led by Consultant Urologist Dr Nadya York, offers a didactic training session on Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). The program will cover the principles of HoLEP, followed by practical experience using a HoLEP simulator, as well as a live laser and wet lab. Additionally, the session will introduce Rezum, a minimally invasive, water vapour treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

Developing advance nursing practice roles in urology- examples, tips tricks and strong arguments

This session provides an overview of the preparation and activities required to establish a case for change and development of urological nursing roles.Aim is to provide delegates an opportunity to hear examples from NZ and Australian practice settings. Examples of business case development, clinical training, post graduate pathway journey and patient focused service improvement outcomes will be provided and a forum for discussion provided covering oncological surveillance, post operative follow up, nurse led diagnostic pathways and procedure clinics.

NURSE LED CLINIC PRACTICE: SEXUAL WELLNESS AND REHABILITATION

Following on with the theme of advanced nursing practice, this session will provide delegates an opportunity to participate in a facilitated workshop session considering approaches to sexual wellness and rehabilitation assessment and interventions. Presented by Evie Mertens his workshop will provide discussion of considerations, techniques and "how to" conversations about sexual wellness and rehabilitation.
Case study group work will support decision making in a non confrontational setting.
