NZHPA LEGACY PROJECT

The New Zealand Hospital Pharmacy Association 2023 Legacy Project this year is supporting the Wellington Women's Refuge.

The two Refuges have a safehouse each with four bedrooms in each and up to four families in each safehouse at a time. We also support around fifty women in the community at a time who are experiencing domestic violence and need our ongoing support but do need to be in the safehouse itself.


Donation Items for collection:

  • Grocery vouchers for New world, Countdown Pak'nSave
  • Non-perishable food items - while we are happy to accept canned food and understand this can be an easier item for people to bring to collections, the items that we often need more of are:
    • Breakfast Cereal
    • Long life Milk
    • Spreads
    • Boxes of Up & Go (the small breakfast drinks)
    • Biscuits
    • Crackers
    • Tea, Coffee, Milo, Herb Tea
    • Pump bottles of Hand-wash
    • Bags of Rice
    • Pasta
    • Pasta sauces
    • Sugar
    • Cup of Soup
    • Items for children’s school lunches like- Muesli Bars, Crackers, little bags of chips, rice crackers, boxes of raisons, nuts or dried fruit
  • Other useful non-food donation items:
    • Colouring in books (adults or children's)
    • Colouring in pens, pencils etc.
    • Diaries, pens, notebooks
    • Puzzle or activity books (adults or children's)
    • Face moisturiser
    • Underwear (women's or children's)
    • Socks
    • Children's Singlets

Bring any of the above items to conference and we will pass them on to the Wellington Women's Refuge on your behalf.  Thank you for your support!
