Welcome…

It is with great pleasure that we would like to invite colleagues to join us for the New Zealand Association of Simulation in Healthcare Conference 2016. The conference is to be held at Wellington Hospital on the Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October 2016.

Our conference theme is ‘Reaching Out’, reflecting the need and ability of simulation in healthcare to expand beyond the simulation enthusiasts, tertiary health centres and clinical skills suites.  The format of the programme will be held over two days, with concurrent sessions and workshops encouraging the engagement of delegates. This forum will provide an update relevant to all practising physicians, nurses, paramedics and technicians, as well as the latest advances in our specialty.

To date we have confirmation from Professor Jean Ker from the University of Dundee and Dr Traci Wolbrink from the Boston’s Children Hospital as key speakers, both bring exciting aspects to the conference.

The NZASH 2016 Conference also is a great opportunity to share knowledge and build relationships within the simulation community. If you want to learn more about simulation, see what others are doing, share your knowledge and expertise, or just want to see if simulation is right for you, we welcome you to join us for what will be a fantastic programme of presentations, discussion and workshops!

We are pleased to be holding the conference in vibrant Wellington. Famous for its coffee, Wellington has an array of restaurants and cafes close at hand.  Take time to explore the city and visit attractions such as Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and the renowned Cuba Street.

We look forward to seeing you at the conference in Wellington.
