Venue and Transport
With a beautiful campus, and excellent faciliites, the University of Waikato, located in Hamilton, will provide a stimulating and picturesque environment for the NZARE2017 Conference. The parkland campus covers some 68 hectares of Tainui land located in New Zealand’s heartland, the Waikato.
The main venue for the conference will be located at S Block shown in the map to the right. (LG.01 in L Block adjacent to S Block may also host some presentations.)

Parking
Parking closest to S Block at the University is at Gate 1, off Knighton Road and to the Management School Building (MSB) at Gate 10, off Silverdale Road.
Parking in each area costs $2 a day from 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday and Friday. There is no charge on the weekends.
If you are staying at College Hall parking will be at Gate 3b off Silverdale Road and is also $2 a day except for weekends.
Please be aware that at no time can you park in a reserved or numbered parks on the University grounds.
Transport
If you are planning on flying to the Conference, the distance from Hamilton Airport to the University of Waikato is 12.5kms or around 18 minutes drive.

If you are planning on staying in the Hamilton CBD and need to travel to and from the Conference, the distance is 4.6kms (via Ruakura Road) and approximately 10 minutes drive depending on the time of day.

Please note that Bus 17 travels to and from the Hamilton Transport Centre in Anglesea Street in the CBD to the University of Waikato Gate 1.
