Kick The Dirt (KTD) will be held on 25 June, 2025. There are 3 locations, reflecting the summerfruit and viticulture industries in Blenheim.
Caythorpe Family Estate
Caythorpe will be demonstrating equipment they have used to cut down on their pruning labour in viticulture and hosting a walkthrough of their newly developed cherry orchard.
The orchard has a UFO planting system and a fully automated system for retractable rain covers, bird netting and tree support wires.
Pernod Ricard
Pernod Ricard will demonstrate their Autonomous Vineyard Tractors (AVTs) capable of mowing, spraying, and defoliating vines.
We will see these machines in use on one of the Pernod Ricard vineyards.
Wither Hills
A tasting of the Wither Hills range of wines. This will be hosted at the Wither Hills Winery and Cellar Door.
