Honorary Associate Professor Michal Boyd
RN, NP, ND, FCNA(NZ), FAANP

 Dr Michal Boyd is a Nurse Practitioner who works privately in residential aged care facilities with Equinox Health Ltd and holds Honorary Associate Professor position. She is also current board Chair of Dementia Auckland. Her main research interests are care of older adults living with frailty and dementia in the community and those living residential aged care, as well as advanced nursing practice. She was primary investigator for the “End of life with dementia” study, and has recently completed the Deterioration Early Warning System (with Julie Daltrey) for residential aged care, both funded by the Ageing Well National Science Challenge.

Lyndelle Kelsen

Clinical Nurse Specialist, Inpatient Pain Service, Te Whatu Ora  - Waikato Te Manawa Taki

Lyndelle Kelsen is currently a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Inpatient Pain Service at Waikato hospital, with 8 years’ experience in this area but have a total of 20 year plus nursing experience.  Presently she is a Nurse Practitioner Intern through Auckland University and about to complete this with a Masters and  endorsement  to take up the position of Nurse Practitioner in our Pain Service at Waikato hospital early next year. Life has been lost in study for the past 2 plus years now, but as she looks to a future that is free from study, Lyndelle is hoping to reintroduce herself to fun, friendship, family and a bit of fitness.

Bepven “Ven” Aparente-Grace

Clinical Nurse Specialty: Neurology, Te Whatu Ora  - Waikato Te Manawa Taki

Bepven Aparente-Grace has been a Parkinson’s Clinical Nurse Specialist in Te Whatu Ora –Waikato for almost 3 years. She qualified as an IQN from the Philippines in 2012, and completed her Masters in Nursing in 2018 with a special interest on Older Adults and Long Term Conditions from the University of Auckland. Bepven has worked as Registered Nurse in Age Residential Care, District Nursing and Acute Older Person’s Service and Rehabilitation.
